Justice By Justin Bieber Album Cover

JUStICE

Creative Direction & Photography

Rory lead the visual direction and photography for Justin Bieber’s Justice album, fulfilling a dream he had to create an album cover he had written about in his journal years prior.

Fun fact: the cover’s texture came from printing the photo and physically distressing it by scratching, crumpling, and even pouring ginger ale on it before scanning it back in.

During the shoot for the song “Stay” by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber, Rory was filming behind-the-scenes content. As the crew paused to switch lenses before the final scene, he noticed a window with great light and asked LAROI if he could grab a few photos of him sitting there.

BLINK-182

Rory’s relationship with blink-182 spans from early teenage admiration to professional collaboration.  Introduced to the band at 13 through the “Dammit” music video, Rory quickly became a devoted fan, finding inspiration in The Urethra Chronicles, sparking his journey into filmmaking.

Years later, he has had the honor of documenting the band on the “One More Time” tour and capturing the press imagery for their album rollout, a surreal milestone for someone who grew up inspired by their music.  What began as teenage fandom evolved into a genuine creative partnership, proof that dreams are real when you trust your passions, no matter what others say.

Director of Photography

Rory was approached to create the visual for Avicii’s “The Nights” after the artist came across his personal videos. Using footage from his own travels and everyday life, he built a video that matched the track’s pace and tone.  It ultimately became one of his most recognizable pieces, marking a turning point in his career.

Rory photographed Sting at his Red Rocks show, an artist whose music he grew up hearing with his dad on long car rides.  Shooting an artist his father deeply admired felt like a full-circle moment, one where Rory could feel his dad’s presence throughout the night.
